My idea for the smart board lesson was to make a game for my classroom. As always, grammar and sentence structure is always a very weak point for my students. So, I decided to come up with a game that would give them practice in finding the different parts of the sentence, and work on identifying parts of speech and punctuation as a review. To begin the game, The students that are participating in the round, write their name next to a player slot. Each player slot has an area they are supposed to identify. For example, the player next to the subject play slot must identify the subject. This is how the student "bets"on their hand. When they identify the part of the sentence they use the whiteboard marker to underline or highlight that part of the sentence. Each round has new participants and new sentence examples.
